“The bastard offspring of the Jesus And Mary Chain meets a seriously twisted and distorted version of Weezer.”
Mouses are guitarist and vocalist Steven Bardgett and drummer Nathan Duff, a lo-fi garage rock duo from Billingham renowned for their raw and energetic live performances and a tendency for gig induced self-destruction. Formed in early 2014, they have built a growing reputation for their unique sound, combining surrealist lyrics and playful melodies in a whirlpool of fuzzed-out, frenetic punk rock.
As heard on BBC Radio 1 (featured as Huw Stephen’s ‘Tip Of The Week’), BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio; Mouses have burst onto the scene with festival appearances at Reading and Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, Evolution Emerging, Twisterella, Stockton Calling and Olgas Rock Festival in Germany. They released their highly anticipated debut album, ‘The Mouses Album’ in September, 2016, with a second record in the crosshairs.

MOUSES 10:15-11pm “The bastard offspring of the Jesus And Mary Chain meets a seriously twisted and distorted version of Weezer.” Mouses are guitarist and vocalist Steven Bardgett and drummer Nathan Duff, a lo-fi garage rock duo from Billingham renowned for their raw and energetic live performances and a tendency for gig induced self-destruction. Formed in early 2014, they have built a growing reputation for their unique sound, combining surrealist lyrics and playful melodies in a whirlpool of fuzzed-out, frenetic punk rock.
Healthy Junkies 9:30-10pm Parisian Lead singer Nina Courson met British guitarist Phil Honey-Jones in 2009 in the now defunct venue Punk in Soho, both of them were in separate bands at the time. It wasn't long, however, before ideas of their own and a new found mutual volatility raised its wretched head and so they started to write songs together as a kind of antidote to this madness , the shared influences of the likes of Iggy Pop, Nirvana, Blondie, Killing Joke,Sonic Youth, Bauhaus and Bowie playing a big part in the direction of the music. Inspiration has come from far and wide and lyrically the lines between autobiographical and fiction are blurred and merged. I suppose if there was a specific aim it would be to capture and bottle the essence of certain music from the past and release it kicking and screaming into the now with a fresh baby scent.
Salvation Jayne 8:45-9:15pm Salvation Jayne are a young, female driven alt-rock band with a distinctive dirty sound which combines elements of rock, nu wave and blues. The band formed in 2013 and have worked hard paying their dues and earning the respect of music fans across the UK, due to their charisma and energetic live performances. 2017 see Salvation Jayne with a fresh look, a brand new EP and video for their single 'Burn It Down', with more touring plans and an ever increasing fanbase including AC/DC drummer Chris Slade, and The Clash drummer Topper Headon who describes the band as "F****** brilliant!"
Weekend Recovery 8pm- 8:30pm Weekend Recovery are a female fronted 4-piece rock band, formed just over a year ago Weekend Recovery go from strength to strength recently teaming up with Headcheck Records and Super Scurry Music. They’ve already gained the support of BBC Introducing, Radio X and NME Presents and have headline sets at London's famous Alley Cat bar on Denmark Street and the Islington O2 Academy under their belts.
